Excellent drive backed by Seagate's 5-yr. Warranty

Dec 3, 2007 - By uncle-buck (Houston, TX USA)

I purchased this drive for a Dell Inspiron 8200 notebook PC after buying and installing a larger drive that was not fully compatible. (Be sure and check the technical specs for your PC when upgrading hardware.) In any case, installation of the drive was simple and fast. And I ran Steve Gibson's SpinRite disk drive utility to check for errors (none found), burn-in, and condition the drive. Performance is excellent and you have to love Seagate's 5-yr. warranty. All in all, an excellent drive at a reasonable price.

Capacious and very quiet hard drive for my trusty laptop

Dec 13, 2007 - By Vards Uzvards (San Francisco, CA)

Hard drive in my trusty IBM ThinkPad T23 laptop died suddenly, thus I had to replace it, and chose this 120GB hard drive from Seagate. It was recognized easily by BIOS, and disk fit perfectly inside the computer. It's lighter, higher capacity and much quieter than original disk, IBM TravelStar 40GB. Five-year warranty provides additional assurance as well.

great for my zen jukebox

Jun 11, 2008 - By Lance H. Martin (San Francisco, CA United States)

I used this drive in my Creative ZEN Nomad Jukebox 40GB and now I have a 120GB MP3 player.

Very easy to upgrade.

Great hard drive

I dropped my computer and broke my hard drive. I ordered this one, it came fairy quickly, I installed it and it worked perfectly. My computer is back up and running. Thank you.

Seagate 2.5" HDD ST9120821A-RK )

Jul 18, 2008 - By William I. Kipp (Pacifica, CA USA)

I bought this drive as a replacement for a similar notebook computer drive which had failed. Since it was an exact replacement, it installed perfectly and easily. I fired up the computer, ran the re-installation discs, and was back in business with no problems. The only reason my rating is 4 stars rather than 5, is from my disappointment with the original drive failing in only about 2 years.
