I am very disappointed with the performance of this radio. I rarely write reviews, but would like to warn everyone about Midland products. After only a few month, the battery is dead. It costs you more to buy the battery than the radio. The range of the radio is also not up to my expectation. It performs equally or worse than a Motorola I had which has only a 2-mile range claim.

Go with Motorola, much better quality.

Very durable and the fact that they are rechargable is plus! Perfect for camping. The range is actually what they said it would be and the reception is extremely good.

We haven't used them that much so far but I know they will come in handy when we do need them. My husband works outside a lot and this way I can keep a close check on him when he is out side and I am in the house, and to let him know when he has a phone call, or when he needs something. It has been to hot for him to be outside the last couple weeks and we haven't really put them to the total test. Midland it one of the best so I am looking foward to using them.

These walkie-talkies have excellent range and very clear transmission/reception. They are used on moderately hilly terrain over 20 acres and we've had no problems at all. We also occasionally use them between vehicles on road trips.

LOVED THESE WALKIE TALKIES...THEY ARE DURABLE...AND EASY TO USE...AND HAVE HAD NO PROBLEM WITH RECEPTION..MY 6 YR OLD LOVES THEM..AND SO DO I!!
