This is a very slick solution. The remote button keeps your desktop free of clutter and wires.
I had no problems with my mouse scroll wheel like the previous comment. Everything worked as expected.
defective and very little instruction or support for the product

The Flip simply did not work. There was no support, the remote button component was flimsy, and there was not enough information given about the Flip for me to troubleshoot the issue myself.
I'm an independent contractor who has a client that recently "upgraded" their system, upgrades which mean some parts of their computer platform require Vista, some XP. As a workaround for this situation, I got the Belkin Flip so I could switch between my Vista and XP boxes (desktops). The setup was very easy and quick as this is essentially a splitter and requires very little explanation to install.
Once installed, the unit didn't want to switch between computers. While trying to figure out the issue, I discovered quickly that the instructions are useless, it's just a very small pamphlet with a few sentences on how to plug the Flip in. The troubleshooting website they direct you to has very little additional information. I suspect that in an effort to show how easy this unit is to use, Belkin's instructions are deliberately brief, which pretty much backfires.
Both my XP and Vista boxes work with my monitor, keyboard, and mouse, so that is not the issue. However, the Flip may not have recognized the XP box -- given that the Flip is marketed SPECIFICALLY so you can keep your old computer hooked up while using your new computer, the fact that Flip didn't recognize the XP box is a pretty big problem. It's also possible that the remote button was the issue, since the light on it never worked and the button rattled noticeably. During troubleshooting, I noticed that depending on which computer was hooked up to the Flip, the Flip's main unit would blink green, blink yellow, or stay solid green. Again, nothing on the instructions or website indicate what these lights mean, if anything.

I have a PS2 keyboard and a Logitech wireless USB mouse. I put a USB to PS2 adapter on the mouse connection and this worked like a charm. I can't imagine using this without the remote so I'd suggest getting this option. It works great. Enable simple file sharing on one folder on each (networked) computer, and you can swap files as easily as you change monitors. Wish I had bought one sooner.
A good product

It is not the cheapest, but it is quite reliable and won't creep up on you with unintended hot-key combination. Plus it looks good.
Great Problem Solver

As our office has grown, we've continued to stuff more computer equipment, including two servers with keyboards and monitors, into a closet. When one of the monitors quit, we decided to try this switch. It works great reducing the heat of running a second monitor in this enclosed space and eliminating some of the wiring clutter.
