Great DVD burner

They must not have gotten the kinks out because it burned at 4x max (rated 16x). No it wasn't the blank disks. I bought this drive to replace the other. Working perfect so far except I tried burning a DVD at 16x using a 16x blank DVDr and the playback was jumpy. Dropped back to next slower speed and copy was perfect. Hmmmmm
Awsome Drive

This drive is a great cost effective burner untill HD-DVD and/or BluRay start catching on.

Great burner at an economic price

I've had no burn errors thus far in my use of the product. If you have a bit more cash, I would recommend purchasing the Plextor PX-760A, which is rated at 18x. However, I never burn at the maximum speed to ensure the best quality. Amazon offers about the same price for the product and shipping as the plextor website.
