Great area. Very smooth. Essential for gaming. For non gaming purposes... well it works great for that as well.
Awesome Mouse Pad
I love this mouse pad! It's thin, nice looking, and works awesome with my optical mice. I've bought a couple in the past, and finally replaced them after about 4 years. Since it's so thin, it doesn't get in the way of other stuff on my desk. The mouse feet glide smoothly with little friction. A couple pieces of double-stick scotch tape keep it anchored firmly in place. I use this for CAD drawing at work, and FPS gaming at home.
Very Slick
I really like this mouse pad. I have yet to run off the side of it while playing computer games. The only thing that makes it a little difficult for me to use, is that it is very slick. This causes me to often move the mouse by accident while trying to double click something. Not a big deal though, you get use to it. You just have to be more delicate with your hand.
Leaves residue on mouse feet. Owned for one year.
I purchased this a year ago, as my other cloth mouse pad was a bit smaller, and also a worn around the edges and such. I decided to go for a larger mouse pad... When the pad arrived, I recall being a bit disapointed in plastic. I thought it would be cloth, not plastic. I decided to keep it, and give it a try anyway.
I missed the softness of cloth, that was my first impression.
Soon after, I began to notice a "rough" feeling when moving the mouse, upon inspection of the soft feet on my laser mice (I have two of these mousepads), I'd see grey/black rough residue stuck to the four feet on the mouse. I'd scrape it off with my thumb nail, and smoothness would return to the mouse's glide.
I don't recall ever having to deal with this, when I used laser or optical mice on a cloth mouse pad. If I did, it was very rarely. This cleansing reminds me of the build-up I would get when I used a mouse with a ball. I feel this has something to do with the material on the mouse pad. Either it is shedding plastic onto the mouse feet, or it does a good job transferring "gunk" to the mouse feet.
I also notice that the mouse pad, after 1 year of use, has some smooth areas. This is where the mouse glides most. I have worn an area into the mousepad! Perhaps the plastic that I wear off, is what is transferring to the mouse feet?
I didn't care much for cleaning the ball and rollers in ball mice, and I don't care for cleaning mouse feet all the time. After a year of this Wowpad, I am going to try Corepad, who makes large, CLOTH mouse pads.
In general, the mousepad isn't too bad. It is very thin, and some people like that. It also tracks very well with my optical mice (one from 2001 or so, the other 2008). However, after 1 year of use, I have to go back to cloth. I have worn away the matte finish on this mousepad, and I believe what I wear away is part of what becomes stuck to the feet pads on the bottom of my mouse, and end up having to be scraped off with my thumb nail once every week or so.

Spray Glue?
The mouse pad works great, but it doesn't stay in one place. Another thing is that it is smaller than a normal mouse pad. If that's what you are looking for then this is the one. The moving around killed it for me.
