Precise, but doesn't last long and backing not sticky enough

(2 out of 5) by C. Beauregard on Apr 29, 2008 (San Francisco)
- I've used a Microsoft Sidewinder Mouse (Optical) with it.
- This mouse pad has endured about 2 hours of use a day over 5 months.

The precision of this mouse pad is fantastic.
But, the backing made essentially of very tiny indents in the plastic does not stick very well to the surface of a desk, so mouse movements can often move the pad around. Not all the time, but enough that it can become annoying.

Further, as a result of friction over time, the textured surface has smoothed out to the point that parts of the pad have become reflective. The reflective surface causes optical mice to be imprecise, making the mouse pad useless after less than 6 months of use.

Overall, I'm disappointed. I just purchased a "Fellowes Microban" mouse pad for 5$ and I'm much happier with it.

Excellent mouse pad

The WOW!Pad mouse pad is excellent! It is slightly over-sized so the mouse never runs out of real estate, and the mouse always glides smoothly over the surface. As a bonus, the pad is ultra thin and doesn't easily move around like other mouse pads I've tried. This is definitely the last mouse pad I'll ever purchase.

great all-around mouse pad

I never liked the neoprene or padded mouse pads out there, as they get dirty and dusty after a while and is hard to keep clean.
I really like this pad as the size is large and has a very nice tracking surface/texture so that I could use my optical mouse more accurately, faster and without excessive movement.

I never had a problem with my pad moving or slipping like some people, but as long as you have a clean smooth surface to put it on you shouldn't have that problem.
I use it with a bead-filled wrist rest and makes my work so much more comfortable with no fatigue what so ever.

One very minor fault is that this pad doesn't not come in other colors or patterns. I wanted to get this large size in white rather than black, but white was only available in the smaller sizes.

Excellent pad for the money

I was looking for a large mouse pad for my home office that would work with the mouse for my iMac. Found this one and for the money, it's great.

great mousepad, worth the price

I was looking for a new mouse pad, as the Microsoft mini-mouse I bought didn't track well on the translucent mat I was using with my Logitec. I was looking for something large and that would stay put.

The mouse pad tracks perfectly and I have no problem with it moving around in the first two weeks. I can see how other reviewers might have trouble with that after it gets dirty. The packaging says to wash the bottom and it will be sticky again. I guess we'll see about that soon enough.

Overall this is exactly what I wanted, although it could be a bit larger.
