Cable signal splitting problems solved!

(5 out of 5) by Raymond Spall on Feb 27, 2008 (Tucson, AZ)
This splitter solved the issues I had with weak signal to the HD cable box causing digital breakdown, and loss of audio. The main trunk in to the house is split downstream, causing an already weak signal form the cable company to drop to marginal at best. This amplified splitter cleared up all of my signal problems, even with a 3-way splitter downstream. The connections are easy, coax all the way around, so it is easy to install, and the performance is as advertised. This is a great product!

Works better than advertised

(5 out of 5) by N. Phan on Mar 9, 2009
Was having T3 errors on a cable modem, that is when it looses communication with the host. The modem listed Downstream -19 db with an SNR of 30 db. Upstream the modem was maxed out at 55 db. After installing this amplifier the Downstream numbers read variable +/- 1 db with 34 db SNR. Upstream value was unchanged.
As for the cable picture, it looks as good as a compressed 480i picture can.

Great

(5 out of 5) by Jeffrey Creem on Jul 29, 2008
I sort of wish I had gotten one with more ports but this 4 port unit works as advertised and does not inject any noise into the line. I had used a few different 'radio shack' units before where I could detect faint snow or other pattern noise on some channels with the booster. I saw nothing but improved signals with this unit.

Great booster for digital tuners

(5 out of 5) by Gerald D. Zuber II on May 1, 2008
I bought this to use on my poor Comcast signal. It does a great job and I can now receive all the digital channels on my computer that I use for recording.

Works Exactly As Expected

Bought this because a few of my HD channels were not clear during high usage times since I had split the signal. This device provided me the splitting capabilities without loosing signal strength. Actually making the signal strength stronger. So far, it's been about 2 weeks and not one problem with pixelation. My DVR has recorded much more consistently because of the stronger signal and my cable modem has not had a single problem with noise. IMO, my internet is more consistent and because of that it seems faster even though the speed test sites report the same speeds as before. BTW, it was very easy to install.
