Pioneer does it again

(5 out of 5) by Terence M. Hunt on Oct 18, 2006 (Lumberton, NC)
This is the second Pioneer that I have owned. The first one I let my wife borrow it and put it in her car because I had gotten a head unit with 7 inch display (different brand that starts with a 'J'). After getting fed up with the poor sound quality I sold it and asked the wife for my old Pioneer back. She retaliated (which kind of defeats the purpose of letting her 'borrow it'). So I had to go out and get a new head unit. I knew I was going to get a Pioneer because they are simply the best out there. The sound quality is AMAZING when you put the preset equalizer on "powerful". I can turn the volume all the way up and there is NO distortion whatsoever. Truelly the best head units in my opinion. Also, I have had the other pioneer for about 3 to 4 years with no problems. Best of all I got the iPod kit for this and I can controll the iPod from the head unit itself. I can put the iPod in the glovebox and forget it. Loving it! The screen is crisp and clear with vibrant colors. You can even go to the Pioneer website and choose the different animations to put on the display.

Best Stereo i've ever had

(5 out of 5) by Bryan Rivas on Jan 17, 2007 (Dominican Republic)
The sound is amazing. That's basically what i aim for in a car stereo. That and the mp3 playback is top notch. BBE is something that i can't live without now. All the other stuff is like a bonus (the screen displays, etc). If you want premium sound, can't go wrong here, with a 16 band EQ u can settle your car's acoustic deficiencies. No other stereo in this price range has such a wide-band EQ. Highly reccomended.

Works long enough to shut you up

I bought this for $500 cash for my husband as a gift. Worked great for a little over a year. One day we start the car and it was completely dead. Nothing worked. Screen black. No response. I looked up online to troubleshoot (maybe a cable wore out) and I come to find out dozens & dozens of people with the same problem that have already tried to replace parts of it and pretty much just told me save your money, don't bother, buy something better. Basically Crap.

Wao !

This player has every sound option you could ever imagine, if you really like to equilize your stereo to the max, this is the way to go... It has nearly infinite things you can do with it, I've had it for like 2 months and still find new features. The song selector is one of my favourites, where you can scroll up and down trough your mp3 folders and select what song you want... The color display is as espected, many different entertaiment displays and the option to donwload videos and photos from your pc... At daylight with direct sun light you cant really aprreciate what this unit has to offer, but at night it really glows! Tee only down side ive found so far is the knob when you want to adjust volume, you have to use 2 fingers and go really slow to lower the volume fast, and it dosent have a mute boton... In general, exceeeeeelent, I really liked it ! I'e used pioneer for a couple of years and they definetly know what they are doing!
