The initial operation looks excellent. I got two of these for the office and home so had 4 units to test out. All of them read the same after they acclimated so the factory calibration is consistent. I didn't have a humidity reference but they did match my home thermostat for temperature. The real test is to see how they operate over the long term.

For some of the negative reviews, this unit is not made by Honeywell but by Hideki and sold under the Honeywell brand. Hideki is not a no name company, but a large multinational company that has been around 20 years. They're just relatively new to the US.

For the hygrometer taking a while to adjust after a reset, that is expected. All electronic hygrometers take a couple hours to stabilize after being reset or moved into a new location.

This works great. The temp is accurate, and the base unit never looses comunication like some other unit's I've tried. The only negative is the base unit goes thru batteries quickly (a set a month?). I bought rechargeables.

Had to return the first unit I received because the Humidity readings on the Main Unit were way below actual readings by about 20%. The second unit shipped to me was better, but the Main Unit still reads ~10% lower than the remote unit and another Hygrometer I have had for awhile and trust to be accurate. The Remote Units seemed to be accurate for both Humidity and Temperature readings. The Main Unit's Temperature readings were accurate both times.

The wireless hygrometer is really very good. It gives an accurate outside/inside temp and humidity. I especially like the fact that it has a setting where is continually switches from outside to inside.

I purchased this to monitor humidity around my wife's piano and to let me know what the temp is outside. After a few months use, the outside temp/humidity function is way, way off and the indoor humidity doesn't seem right, either. I definitely wouldn't recommend this item to anyone.
