i got this amp because of the price and then once i had it i couldnt believe the power it had it stays completely cold so dont worry. also this amp is very underrated i used a gain setting chart and it was producing over 1100 watts rms at 2 ohms. i say bolt it down because i got mine jacked in less than a week along with my subs.

Excellent Product!!

This amp is great! It bumps 2 12" Xplods (1300W Max) with great sound and quality. It has so much bump, it could easily blow them!

Impressed

I'm not much of a Sony Car Audio Fan, have always stuck with products from Kicker, Fosgate, and more recently JL Audio. However, I was looking for an inexpensive solution to power a couple of 10" Kicker CVR's. The reason I didn't want to spend the money on something on the higher end was because this was all to be installed in my 07 Jeep Wrangler. In the summer I primarily have the top off, and there is not much security around my audio equipment or protection against the unexpected Minnesota Thunder Storm or random outdoor elements. I figured if something happened to this amp, I would not feel it so much in my pocketbook. But I got to say, I'm impressed, This amp has gone above and beyond my point of expectation. It is a sleek looking amp, makes for a clean install, and it delivers enough power to my CVR's for good hard hitting, non-distorted bass. It is a very flexible amp, with all the right adjustments for Bass Boost, X-over, and Input Sensitivity. Plus it gives you the option with Speaker Inputs (no remote wire required)if RCA pre-outs are unavailable. It also has a variety protection schemes which helps trouble shoot the amp in the case of a failure. After using this amp for well over a month now, I would consider it for just about any install in the future.

The downfall, I didn't care for the design of the amp to have all connections and amp adjustments to be located on the side of the amp rather than the ends like most other amps. This really limited my ability on where to install the amplifier for access to the switches and adjustments. I'm still not thrilled with my final location, however it looks clean and wires are pretty much non-existent due to the aluminum looking amp cover.

Best Deal Around

I have had this amp for a while now and love it. I was thinking about buying another just in case I need it later. For the amount of power you get for the price this amp is untouchable. I think my bass sounds clean and I could destroy my subs with power from this amp. And a big plus for me (because of its location) is that it stays cool. My JBL amp gets pretty warm but this sony feels like its hardly trying. I would recommend this amp for sure.

great amp for the pric

i bought this amp because it was cheap. people were telling me to avoid sony for an amp and i did some research on the specs and bought it anyway for my 15" ported Kicker L7. this amp provides more than enough juice for my sub and it slaps real hard. they ask what amp i got, and i tell them i got a sony and they give me this look like "a sony....weak" then i turn up the music and all doubts are drowned by the super bass from my L7.
