Aiptek battery
I was somewhat disappointed in the product. The battery I received was an OEM Aiptek but was only 1000ma capacity as opposed to the 1200ma that is standard on my A-HD camcorder. The technical info did not include the capacity, which I should have recognized as a reason to check further. I got what I paid for, I just didn't get the information I should have in order to make an informed decision.

Overpriced and Extremely Short Life!
The batteries that came with my Aiptek HD 720p camera both died in under 11 months of light usage -- both of them. If I understand correctly, this battery is an exact replacement of what comes with the product itself.
There are plenty of less expensive "NP-60" Lithium rechargeable batteries out there. I just bought two to try them out and see if they would work with my Aiptek camera. One cost me $9.99. The other cost me $1.54! For under $2 you can get a NP-60 battery.
At that price it only has to last 1 month to be more cost effective than buying the "Aiptek" branded replacement.
The $9.99 battery:
Hi-Capacity Li-Ion Digital Camera Battery for Fuji FinePix F401 (NP-60)
The one I got for $1.54:
Eforcity Replacement Standard Battery for Kodak KLIC-5000 Kodak DX6490 DX7440 LS420 LS443 LS633 Z730..FinePix 50i F401 F401 Zoom F410 Zoom Casio QV-R3 QV-R4..HP PhotoSmart R507 R607 R607v R607xi R707 R707v R707xi R717..Olympus Camedia AZ-1 AZ-2 Zoom Fer...
I've charged and used both of them in my video camera.

Mr.
I have been using this prodiuct for the past two days and I am still very asatisfied with it.
You'll need it!
If you have a compatible Aiptek then you really need at least one spare battery if you plan recording anything of any decent length. And this is a spare battery. You can get OEM ones a little cheaper but I bought with the camcorder for convenience.
