A nice, well built extension to my Ergotron LX LCD monitor-arm. It gives that extra bit of position-ability I needed. Quality cast (aluminum?) and extremely strong! Since a similar extension comes with the Arm itself, this is a second arm for some extra reach ... be aware, it does reduce the maximum weight allowed for the LCD monitor itself.

Had the standard arm at first and it was nice but didn't get the full length that I need, the extension made all the difference. Plus it has a built in management cable system - No zip ties.

This arm allowed me to bring my laptop closer to my easy chair for living room surfing. I have an adjustable laptop stand and I wanted a bit more reach from it. This does exactly that and was made for the original unit I bought. Heavy duty and made to last a life time.

I bought the Ergotron desk arm and extension at the same time, so I cannot compare with and without. However, from what I can see, having an extra extension is well worth the $25. It is an exact copy of the include arm segment, and the addition of another segment adds 6-8" of distance. Now I can have the Ergotron arm perched near the edge o my desk and reach out over my bed so I can watch movies in it. I would not hesitate to suggest buying this if you are getting the Erogtron LX. Adds ALOT of flexibility to wear you can put the LCD.
