Contrary to the amazon item listing title, this player does NOT do SACD, as far as I can tell. There is no mention of it in the manual (or the product description) and there are no analog outputs out the back of the player, as you'd expect. It's POSSIBLE that the SACD surround sound is being sent out over the HDMI connection, but I doubt it.

I guess SACD is yet another Sony system that they've thrown over. Remember Beta? Minidiscs? Sheesh.

If you want to shuffle play all discs & all tracks you better look elsewhere. This is a carousel CD changer that only shuffle plays music tracks on ONE disc only. Worthless! I had to send it back.

Not bad for the money, aka, you get what you pay for. Disappointed in the player being slow to load DVD's (~20 seconds per, 20+ seconds to go between discs). Most disappointing is the fact that it does not play HD-DVD. It is not advertised to do so, but why build all the support for HDMI, and not support HD-DVD? My guess is, they put the wrong kind of drive in it, and thats why it won't play SA-CD's either. On the plus side, it was easy to setup, and plays scratched DVD's that our other DVD player won't.

Estuve buscando bastante y me sorprendio que SONY tenga este producto a tan buen precio. La calidad de las imagenes es excelente en High Def pero carece de algunas funciones que otros del mismo tipo si tienen. Sin embargo si lo que estan buscando es calidad de imagenes me quedo con este.
