This arm was half the price of many of the other arms out there, but it functions well. It held my laptop and now it's holding my 24" LCD monitor. It's well made and flexible (if you'll pardon the pun) and supports heavier weights.

This appliance is exactly what I was looking for. In fact, I'm using it right now. I'm a Senior Software Engineer, having 40 years experience working with computers. I spend eight hours a day at the keyboard. This monitor arm allows me a lot of variety in my postures. It is well thought out. It came with a variety of useful accessories. It is attractive, functions well, and reasonably priced.

This is a review for the Ergotron Desk Mount for Laptop. I bought this product based off some of the reviews on Amazon and elsewhere, and also seeing the wall mount at my dentist's office.
Overall a very well manufactured product; very stable - I like it very much that I can adjust the height to what I want it to, the tension in the levers keep it where I leave it.
I have been used to Ergotron products before (use their wall mount for my TV) so I knew of their quality going in. Only thing was the price; but after using this for a while now, it's justified. Freed up some real estate on the desk, and can move the laptop away into an unobtrusive location when I am done with my work.

I ordered this to create more desk space. I work at home and do call center work and need my work laptop as well as my personal PC to both fit on my desk. I hesitated at first because of the price but it was worth every penny. Very easy to set up too.

I already had an Ergotron arm for my monitor, so I was able to place this on the same mounting pole and it works fine. So now I have the external monitor and my laptop on arms, side by side and it's pretty awesome. The adjustability of these things is great and they're very sturdy I can't imagine why others would charge more for similar products because these things are simply great.
