MORE THAN I EXPECTED

(5 out of 5) by Y. Figuereo on May 9, 2007 (Miami)
I was expecting a low quality car radio because of the price...But I was surprised!!! This car radio is really good. I bought it for my Honda Civic and is just EXCELLENT...! I highly recommended this item. The Sound is good, all my mp3 sound good, the am/fm and aux unit work perfectly...and the instalation is so easy! take 10 or 15 minutes. I'm really happy with this.. (Actually my brother wants to buy one)..

Below average

(2 out of 5) by Sean R. Bishop on Jan 5, 2007
I purchased this producet because my 3 year old mp3 player (that cost about twice what this one did when I purchased it) didn't have an Aux-in port. This product was a serious downgrade. Some of the mp3 CD's my old player (a Sony) was able to play without issue no longer play with this mp3 player (perhaps the disk quality is poor, slight scratches etc, since some of the disks marginally work). Also, it hasn't been displaying titles, only numbers. The dial is annoying because if you accidentally push it while adjusting the volume, you are thrown into the selection of treble, bass, etc. I do not recommend this product (lesson learned over and over: don't buy the cheapest item).

Great for the price

(3 out of 5) by M. Martinico on Dec 14, 2006 (Riverside, CA)
Definitely great product for the money. What sold me on it was the aux in. I haven't had any skipping problems or overheating with my unit but you do get what you pay for. It comes with few customizing features (treble, bass, fader, balance) and a few preset equalizer settings (vocal, flat, pop, bass), but you can't fine-tune/equalize the bands individually. Bummer. I'm an audiophile so this is always XTREMELY important to me. But it works well with my mp3 player, xcept I have to turn the volume to maximum on my Creative Zen Microphoto and this receiver. Definitely a perfect upgrade from a standard tape deck ;-)

WARNING! If you plan to have this installed by Circuit City or Best Buy, I HIGHLY recommend you buy this model over there instead of on Amazon. They charge at LEAST 70 dollars for an install so might as well save yourself the money and hassle and buy this model over there for 100 dollars. They usually offer free install when you buy a stereo system from them. But if you're audio-technical savvy, good deal for the price!

Panasonic CQ-C1333U

(4 out of 5) by David P. Butcher on Jan 23, 2007 (Austin, TX)
The CQ-C1333U proved to be a solid entry level CD receiver deck. For audiophiles, the unit lacks the features of more sophiticated and pricier units, but the average listener should appreciate the sound quality provided by the ROCK setting on the unit, especially if you have make the investment in some decent speakers. I currently run a small Adrenanlin kicker box with 3 way speakers and I get a good mix of bass and treble using the onboard BASS and TREBLE controls on the deck. I am completely satisfied with this unit and would highly recommend it for users who want a solid deck at a great price and who do not require such features as a fully programmable EQ.
