I have it in the back of a Civic Si, I replaced the factory Sub for this one but I had to use a box to put it in, the sound is amazing! I love it

BOOOM!!!

WOW! i feel the kick in my bones. i am really glad i stuck with pioneer on tis one. the price was better than say sony and the quality is really nice. it looks cool and sounds even better. it does distort noticeably at max volume but at that volume i think it hardly should matter. what's really impressive is how deep the bass gets with precision clarity. this is much more important i think and is tight all the way up to moderately loud levels. i am running a pair of these out the trunk and i really feel it in my chest sitting up front.....just the way i like it. there are many other sub brands that sound good or even better i find, but none even close in price. this is a real value purchase for everyday "Joe"s like myself who are not doing competitions, make no mistakes, these could not qualify for a competition. so you have to decide what level of satisfaction you want and how much you will pay for it. be sure to match the amp wattage (use the RMS value!) and frequency range with the sub correctly or you could spend a lot and still sound like crap and that really hurts so ask for help if not sure. i did not buy this on amazon but the price was similar.

Good Budget Subwoofer

I didn't buy this from amazon, but it is the same exact model number. I have 2 of the 12" Subs (Model: Pioneer TS-W301R) that are exactly the same only larger as well. They are in a 3-sub setup in the trunk of my Buick LeSabre, and are working fine. I am running them with Coustic Performance Audio amplifiers and they hit pretty hard. Great subs for the price. If you're looking to enter competitions, though, go with Kicker or MTX.
