Great unit
Just bought this in had it installed in my Miata. Sounds great - plays CDs without any skipping. Mostof all, has an aux input for my Mp3 player - much better then the usual setups. Highly recommended.

Great Sound, features, value
This is my second after market Sony CD player in my old 1990 Geo Prizm. The first sony I bought in 1998 and after 8 years, the CD skipped quite a bit on the horrible roads of San Francisco. Yes, you would think a world class city would take care of it with HUGE taxes. Well no. Anyways, it was time to replace the old. This CDX-300 is a terrific sounding player. The blue backlight displays the song/artist/album name of the mp3 discs that can be made for it. About 200 songs fit onto one CD! You can put every song from an artist onto one disc. For example, I put every album of RUSH onto one disc. There is an album button to go to the next album. Its pretty amazing for the price. The remote is a welcome feature I never knew they had. Its very safe to use as its easy to memorize the few buttons on the remote. Well worth the money.

Excellent
Friend of mine gave me this stereo - it's EXCELLENT. Sound is AMAZING. Installation was a breeze. I got a wiring harness from Best Buy for my Corolla and it was a piece of cake. I put new speakers in my car last year and this thing sure takes advantage of them! Sounds amazing. It DID play cds with mp3s and wmas burned on them BUT CDs burned with the newest version of iTunes DO NOT WORK. NO IDEA WHY!? Anyhow other than that this thing is excellent.

Great radio
This radio has all I ever wanted. I can play 11 hours of music on one CD when in MP3 format. The display is readable from any angle. The remote is a fantastic feature to prevent a distraction from looking at the radio for its buttons. The sound is awesome and crisp. The equilizer has preprogammed and custom settings. It has inputs and outputs for all your demanding needs. And all this for under $100. Unbelievable. I recommend to all.

Excellent Product for your car
I picked up the Sony GT300 over the weekend and had it installed for free (thanks Future Shop). So far it has exceeded my expectations. This repalced my stock Honda speakers in the CRV and the sound level and clarity has gone up tremendously. I head to lots of music at home and at work using high quality headphones and I am very happy to hear the songs out of GT300.
The buttons are a bit small however it can be used fairly easily once you get used to it. Also the remote is very handy when you are on the road since it has fewer controls and hence easy to memorize quickly.
The display is fantastic in daylight and night though some have complained about it being too bright. That can be adjusted as well. The manual is farily regular. Nothing stands out as such.
One thing to point out thought that you can have atmost arond 250 albums or songs on any device (portable or CD) so if you think you can nail this guy with 1000s of albums you are better off buying a laptop or a standalone MP3 player and listen to it. Rememeber this is a car deck so it comes with its usual limitations such as feel and no. of controls and tracks it suppots.
The front aux is a hugh bonus since you pretty much play any device through this. Remember however that the quality from the aux is a bit worse than the native CD/MP3 disc since auxiliary tend to have lesser juice to drive devices. For those home theater users, its the same deal that you all know about! However the sound is still great.
Final note: Highly recommended. If you get this on sale price (even better deal).
