Good Spotting Scope fo the Money

(4 out of 5) by QuixoticMan on Oct 11, 2009 (Bozeman, MT)
I bought this scope for sighting in my hunting rifles. I normally sight in at 100 yards, so this scope has all the range and resolution I need.

If you need the clarity of Nikon or Leupold, this scope might dissapoint you. Also, the construction is good, but it feels light, and I would hate to drop it.

Still, I was able to see very clear detail of my shots on papere at 100 yards, so this scope does everything I need it to. Also, it shipped with a nylon soft case, a small tripod, and a hard aluminum case.

Overall, I am very happy with this scope. If you're looking for a nice servicable scope at an attractive price point, give the Larsak Blackhawk a look.

Pretty good scope for the price

(4 out of 5) by P. Kwan on Sep 13, 2009 (San Jose, CA United States)
This scope is pretty good for the price. The one thing that's a bit hard is the eye relief - you have to get pretty close to the eye piece. If you wear glasses, this makes it a bit harder to use. I did find that if you remove your glasses, the eye relief is not a problem and the clarity is still excellent. I have used this scope for multiple purposes. Hiking as well as at the range and it has worked very well in both cases. The tripod is a bit light, but I have another sturdier unit that I use with it. I like the hard case as the quality is very good and can hold other items as well.

Overall, I like the scope and would recommend it.

questional performance?

(1 out of 5) by Gordon Grimes on Sep 7, 2007 (Portland, OR)
I bought this as a quick replacement for my high end Leupold which was stolen. Needed a spotting scope for a few months and plan on buying another Leupold when I return to the U.S. in 24 months. The best I can say so far is it works. Optic clarity is fair, light gathering at higher power is somewhat a disappointment even at the price. I have a feeling one good bump or drop will probably ruin the thing, Very light in weight and the body does not feel very solid. It was cheap and that filled my needs but I would recommend you move up in quality and spend the bucks for a quality spotting scope.

Great little scope!

This is my first scope and I love it. It's so light and easy to use. The hard case is wonderful for traveling. The whole package was well worth the money.

Price+product=WINNER

(5 out of 5) by Christopher A. Perfetto on Oct 29, 2008 (tucson,az)
I purchased this scope simply for target spotting at the range. 200m,100m and everything in between this scope worked without flaw. Crisp clear optics and focus adjustments gave me a very pleasurable day at the range. With all that you get in this package at the insane low price how can you go wrong. Perfect for sighting in those rifles!
