simply amazing

(5 out of 5) by Alan G. Jones on Oct 27, 2007
i was hesitant to buy due to the apparent low price, most top end scopes are $500+
i hummed and hawed for months then decided to buy. this scope is amazing, great zoom function, clear lenses, nice carry bag, the hard sided case is nice too.
only thing for me is the tripod is small for birding, the provided tripod is good on a table or if you are lying down, i already had a full size tripod and the scope works great on it.
i use the mini tripd for my camera so it does not go unused.
use the scope for birding and it zooms in on birds hundreds of yard away.
a definite great buy for me!

We LOVE this spotting scope!

(5 out of 5) by L. Lonning on Jul 23, 2007
We've been using it to watch the wildlife out at a pond about 140 yards from the house. Not only can we watch the painted turtles climb up on the turtle log, we can even see dragonflies land! And we never would have been able to watch the kingbirds with binoculars!

The icing on the cake was when we looked at Saturn and Venus a couple of weeks ago. Boy were we surprised when we could see Saturn's rings! Then we looked at Jupiter and could distinguish 3 moons! We LOVE this scope!

Great start for those in need of a decent spotting scope

(4 out of 5) by L. Huynh on Feb 23, 2009
First off, good value for the price. The contents included are more than some of the competition. That said, the included tripod works fine although it isn't the best quality, it is quite sturdy and does the job on a bench table or tabletop. The scope's quality is good, optics are a 3.5 out of 5. I purchased this scope for the range and it was worked fine for 300 yards. I haven't had the opportunity to test it out at a range with more distance. The starting 20x is definately too much for close distances, so if you are thinking about using for close distances in the 5-15 yard range, I would look at another scope with a smaller starting magnification. The included hard case does a great job, it has plently of room for the tripod (if you unscrew the handle), scope, and extra items as well.

Overall I like the scope as it did what it was suppose to do and it didn't cost enough to make you think twice about your purchase.

Good Buy

(4 out of 5) by Michael J. Bloch on Apr 10, 2007
Spotting Scope works great, used it sight in my rifles, spotting with it is incredibly easy, and doesn't strain your eyes too bad, naturally they will a little. The only thing is that the tripod wasn't very sturdy, and didn't have very many adjustments.

Great Price, Great Product

(5 out of 5) by B. Joynes on Jan 14, 2008 (TN)
I was needing something for 25 yards to 100 yards, and something I could get past my wife. Well this turned out to be just the ticket. It does have both a hard case as well as a soft case, although not of great quality, the hard case does protect the scope very well. Other people will be able to give you advice about the sharpness view, the lens, and abunch of other specs, but what I needed was a simple scope that was resonable priced, and capable of doing the job. I was not disapointed.
