OK, I still love my old Bose CD player, and with an aux cable I can use it for my ipod; but, I didn't want to shell out that much money for another one so I bought this JBL. It works very well and the remote is a great little feature. I had an Altec Lansing that I loved, but it developed crackling sound issues after a couple of years. This has been good for the few months I've owned it.

I bought this three months ago (for $65) for use with my iPod classic. I was very pleased with the sound. I use it in my home office for personal listening and found the volume more than adequate for that use. This can play music with reasonable fidelity at volumes much higher than I care to listen to music!
However my love affair with this product is now over. Yesterday my new iPod nano 4G arrived and I was extremely disappointed to find that this dock will not charge the 4G nano. Meaning it is essentially obsolete. Do yourself a favor and buy a dock that is compatible with the newest iPods.

I use mine with a Nano in my kitchen, and at work. I download WMMR podcasts, and music. It's a dandy product for those purposes. It has attachments to fit any size device. Super easy to plug in and use. I'd also like to say that I was very pleased - again - with the shipper, J&R Music World et al. They seem to have the lowest prices and the turn around time is excellent.

This system is awesome, I recommend it to anyone looking for a iPod dock. The remote comes in handy as well. The speakers have a great range and can get loud while maintaining sound clarity.

Great product, really, but being "closed out" all over. I just bought one for $49 (new) at MacMall. There are other sources, as well.
