Great speaker phone!

(4 out of 5) by Maksim Kleban on Oct 17, 2006 (Brooklyn, New York, USA)
I think that this speaker phone is great. I use it daily when i drive. It does the basic features very well...
Pro:
-People can hear me w/o any problem at any speed
-It adjust volume by itself - very great feature... I do not need to adjust it while i am driving. It creates true hands free expirience.
-Receive call with one touch
Con:
- Bulky. It looks big comparing to cellular phone.
-Only window mounting
-No fm transmitter to car audio( no need for it as it sounds very loud and distinctive)
- Bettery life is not as promised(not more than 2 hours of constant talk)... but you can use it while you charge it in car(comes with ac and car charger)

Overall very satisfied!!! I would recomend it to all. I gave it 4 stars only because of its size, I think they could make it a bit smaller... Other wise it is good product.... Much better than earpieces..

Bad mic pickup

(1 out of 5) by EZ on Nov 7, 2006
I've been using this Jabra SP500 for a week now - for use while driving. The speaker sound is great and loud but mic quality is so poor that you are not audible to the other party and will eventually have to speak much closer to the mic or just use your phone instead. I've returned this back for a more reliable brand like Motorola.

Decent for the cost

(3 out of 5) by P. Kunjunny on Jan 25, 2008 (Seattle, WA USA)
I bought this to add bluetooth to my car. I found that the sound quality is mixed. The other party often complained of the speech not being clear. It got better with the mic pulled out and closer to the speaker.

Worked flawlessly with my Treo 650

(5 out of 5) by MN Snowman on Apr 28, 2007 (Shoreview, MN USA)
This device worked right out of the box (after being charged up, of course) and paired right away with my Treo 650. None of the people with whom I've talked have mentioned any issues with clarity ... even my wife who hates cell phones said it sounded pretty good.

It's a keeper from my standpoint and much better than the earpiece styles I've tried before.

Jabra SP500

(4 out of 5) by Mitchell Blount on Feb 23, 2007 (MS, USA)
I purchased this product on the advice of a friend who has tried numerous wirless devices for using his cell phone while driving. It is easy to use and the voice quality is good with no complaints from those which whom I am speaking. I have not only used it in my vehicle, but I set it on my desk, and use my cell phone as a conference call device.

I am pleased, and am considering another one just like if for my wife.
