Bought 2 of those units they pretty much suck.... one quit working after 2 month the screen went black,, and the other works when it feels like it.. the one that works WHEN IT!!! works is pretty good. my guess is look for something better quality even if u have to pay a $bit more.

Works great-looks good-costs little

We got this for our 1 and 1/2 year old especially when Mom is driving without help to keep him amused. The remote is full function, the screen reverses top to bottom and plays in diffferent formats (16:9, 4:1 etc) by pressing the mode button. It also is adjustable for color, brightness and contrast. The FM transmitter works great and there are also built in speakers. We ordered from DBRoth on Amazon and got a LION battery included even though the box states that the battery is extra. Because this unit is mobile it ruggedized for temperature extremes and has anti skip. The included bracket is a work of art. It attaches to the two headrest posts quickly and is VERY secure. The bracket also allows positioning of the unit for the best view. Only had it a few days but very impressed so far on the bang for the buck. Comes with AC adapter, video cord to play on a regular TV, cigarette lighter plug, LION battery, some small adapters for the video and a remote. 500 lines of vertical resolution on the TFT screen. Wow Wow Wubzzy looked good so I popped in Return of the Mummy - what great picture considering! We are going on vacation soon and will use this on the car ride to the airport, on the plane and at the hotel. Well worth the modest price.

lasted for a long time!

Our dvd player lasted for over three years before a tiny plastic thing broke and the disc door wouldn't stay closed. It went on long car rides (CA to WA) and plane rides (CA to HI and to Mexico). We loved it!

this may be a piece of junk

I played my very first movie on the player the day I got it and halfway through the screen misaligned and half the movie was off the screen. The next time I turned it on it was fine but the DVD player itself started making a loud humming noise which distracted from the movie. I've had it less than a week and the screen misaligned and the corrected again and the irritating and too loud humming persists. The short time that it did work perfectly I was happy with it. BY next week I may be trying to get a refund or trashing it altogether.

You get what you pay for

When I first saw this item, I thought it was the perfect dvd player for the car.It worked perfectly for over a year,no problems at all. Then all of a sudden it started to lock-up or freeze the screen. My son would give it a little tap to get it going again. Now it will not work when it is cold outside. I still use it when I travel, the accessories let me use it through the hotel tv. I purchased another one and have not had any problems so far after about six months.I still think for the price it is a great deal.
