Nice surround sound effect

I like the portable design that doesn't take up much space. The sound is acceptable and pleasant. The build quality is a plus also.

Really great sound and it's in an aluminum case

I stumbled across this product at RadioShack. It is manufactured from aluminum to make it durable - way better than the low end plastic cased junk I've seen around. The speakers slide back into the triangular center tube for protection.

It will amplify music from i-pods, portable CD players, MP3, and satellite radio. However, it's not truly portable since it needs a 15 volt transformer to power it, and it does not have a battery compartment and that's why I didn't give it 5 stars.

I needed it for a special outdoor project, so I had the guys at RadioShack test it with a 12 volt transformer and it worked really well! It's just not super loud at 12 volts.

Hope this info helps.

Amazing

Our primary listening room is the cement floored, cinderblock walled basement of a rowhouse. Sound does not resonate well at all. These speakers fill the room with music at half volume. When turned up all the way, there is no discernable distortion-- a huge difference from the standard computer speakers that we once used. These are a must-buy.

Best portable speaker for the money ,no contest !

I can't beleive the incredible 3 dimensional sound the emanates from this marvel. I have never heard such volume from such a small speaker. Un strained ,undistorted volume, i can't wait to look at the amp inside. a very hefty power supply ,the entire contraption folds in on itself ,and slips into an included drawstring bag. If I didnt know better ,i'd say i was hearing interaural crostalk cancelation in action. it would explain the need for 4 speakers. I have seen these sold for 69.95 at a national chain ,im buying my second pair right here.
