However, what's been truly outstanding - and worthy of note on these pages - is the integrated proprietary software bundled in by IBM and now supported by Lenovo (known collectively as "ThinkVantage"). Of particular note, the ThinkVantage "Software Installer" program is a thing of beauty. You run it occasionally to keep your various drivers up to date with bug fixes and new feature releases. I've loaded down dozens of iterations with nary a blip. It's elegant yet simple engineering that has performed well for me every time.
The IBM T43 represents the cusp of the transitioning of the ThinkPad brand to Levono and all indications are they're be more that just caretakers and stewards. They'll look to push the brand forward and gain market share while protecting the premium image that IBM so carefully cultivated and nutured.

Awesome! Best of Breed!!
