A REALLY compact camera!
How many times have you said to yourself "I wish I brought my digital camera with me."? With this camera, there are no excuses.
About the size of a deck of cards, this camera fits anywhere. Place it in your purse or pocket, this is not a bulky camera. The size of this camera is the chief reason you should buy this.
Now the cons. The LCD screen is very difficult to see on sunny days. The glare is just too great. On normal days, not really a problem. And nowadays, LCD's are much larger, but hey, it's an older generation camera.
And to recharge the battery, you have to remove the battery from the camera. Just a minor inconvenience. I bought two extra batteries on eBay.
It doesn't come with a case, but I have been using a large sweatband. Covers it perfectly and is easy to remove.
Picture quality is good enough for me. Simple to use. And most of all, you can, and should, take it anywhere!

Great first digital camera
I picked up a refurbished model of this camera off Amazon for $150 and have been very pleased. The size is by far the biggest advantage, however the camera is also simple to use and transfers photos easily. As far as features go I am not the best source, as this is my first digital model, but the Wall Street Journal labeled this as a top compact camera in 2004 so it clearly performs well for even advanced users.
