Pretty good speakers. I think I'll throw them out.
Excellent value for money
Remember my review is based on value they offer for the price. You will always find something better but at a different price.
To start with mission always makes nice speakers (except their model called "elegante" elegante is a joke) . M32i sound much better than the brands offered at CCity,BestBuy for the price. I used M32i for a couple of months before I replaced them with Mission 781's to match my new amplifier. Not going into frequency and audiophile terms (that confuse and scare a lot of people) I would prefer to explain what I liked about them in simple terms.
Clarity
=======
Extremely clear. You can hear all the instruments in a given song. Which in other words mean there is no overemphasized bass or treble. With a clean (power matched) amplifier like NAD C310 these speakers will give you a very clean natural soft sound (pleasing to ears). What this means is what you hear from the CD is what was recorded and not what Massion wanted you to hear this is extremely important to me. I tested them against Bose and Bose sounded really muddy. Bose had either too much bass or too much treble. This difference form actual to overemphasized transitions is what I call coloring effect. In short Mission had very little coloring effect.
Bass & Treble
==== The above description does not mean that these babies cannot produce power full bass or treble notes. They do have exceptional Bass and Treble producing capabilities. If your amplifier can drive enough bass and treble response these babies will outperform any other speakers in their class.
Package
====== They look very clean elegant and are not very heavy (compared to other entry level high end speakers). Compared to 781 I think these are feather light.
Advice
===== Straight out of box they sound like crap. Use them for some time. At least 20hrs. During this period don't push them to hard or you will end up spoiling them. Let them take their sweet breakin time. Use monster bi-wire if possible. Match them with a decent amplifier my choice was NAD C310. The combination was deadly.
Happy Speaker hunting
The M32i are keepers.
I ordered a pair of the Mission M32i & received them the next day, no shipping upgrade needed.
The M32i are very solidly built and are clad with convincing wood-grain vinyl, they sound bigger than they look; they have very deep, muscular bass. Forward, with a very wide soundstage, beautifully clear midrange & vocals, and with a little running-in, I imagine these will even open-up a bit more. The M32i are keepers.
It would be very difficult to find a comparable sounding pair of speakers at twice the price, and that's not an exaggeration.
For the life of me, I can't figure out why these Missions seem to have been overlooked in the market place (there are only a handful of reviews on the net), but they have, and that's a shame. These Missions are damn-good speakers.
Beautiful speakers
These speakers have an amazing amount of bass for their size. But they don't sound boomy. And they don't sound like small speakers. The sound is very clear throughout the range, with lots of detail. You can hear each instrument distinctly. And the music sounds beautiful, like it should.
The only possible problem is that they are pretty heavy, so if you put them on a stand you have to be careful that they don't tip over. I wish Amazon carried the stands they show in the picture. Putting these small speakers on the floor doesn't work too well.
Overall, I am very happy with the speakers. They are not the most expensive speakers Ive owned, but they are definitely the best.
