I know at least a small thing about rechargers and a lot about myself and my desires (not those kinds...weirdo). I have the original one that came with my laptop, but leave it at work where I use my laptop a lot (for work stuff) and didn't want to have to bring it back and forth a lot (in my car). So I bought another one on eBay (the web site)... At first, no problem, and then it simply starting not working well...the plug would not send power (to the laptop) often unless you contorted it at weird angles. However, this plug in price is right between the other two and just as good as the Compaq one. Highly recommended and very fast delivery.

I'm assuming that other people have other laptops in the V2000 series. This product does NOT fit into my HP V2000 laptop. I'm off to the HP website to buy the real replacement part since I'll know it works.

This a/c adaptor works fine for my compaq v2000. I do not recommend buying from this vendor! I paid for express shipping and they sent it regular mail.

When the charger for my husband's computer got shredded by our new puppy, I went on ebay and bought a replacement... MISTAKE! We always had to have the plug going into the computer at the exactly right angle, which was different every time, and even then, it would just randomly stop charging for no reason.
Then, I went onto Amazon, purchased this charger (after reading other reviews), and it's been wonderfully consistant since we first plugged it in! My husband and I both take several classes online, and all we needed was a dependable charger that didn't fail on us during timed tests, etc. We found that with this charger 100%. THANK YOU!!!

The adapter works great, much better than the one that my laptop came with originally. It was the least expensive I could find but still pretty pricey. All merchants should ship by UPS because it is faster than USPS. I also like that I can check the status of my UPS shipment on line.
