Most Helpful First | Newest First | + ShareGreat solution for XM!
I have an '02 Saturn vue and did not have a convenient place to mount my XM. This was meant to mount on one of the bolts that hold the car seats to the floor, but I didn't have such a thing. I drilled a few holes in one of the seat brackets and used one of the provided mounting brackets. It sits nicely and firmly next to the center console and is not in the way of the passenger seat. This thing is fantastic! A great alternative to the vent and adhesive mounts the radio came with.
This should come with a Satelite Radio!
Works exactly as advertised. If you can see one of the screws that holds you passenger seat in place, then this device is what you should use to hold your satelite radio. You don't even need to 'remove' the screw to install; just loosen it with a standard socket wrench and slide this arm in place.
I bought two of these. One for my car and one for my wife's. We love our satelite radios, but we were getting tired of the units falling off of the dashboard b/c of the crappy mounts that came with the radio. I also had a problem because my mount blocked my heat vents. This swivel arm is perfect. Took me less than 15 minutes to install both of them!! Even though the screws for our passenger seats were in different places, it didn't matter. This arm swivels in every direction both at the top and at the bottom and is loosened and tightened with a had tightened wing nut. Also the arm itself of course is "bendable", so you can point it in any direction you need. This arm also comes with a triagular adapter in case you want to secure this directly to the floor of your car, but this was not necessary for either of my cars. I just loosened one of the passenger seat screws, loosened and then tightened the top and bottom of the arm to get the angle/position right, slide it in place, and then tightened the seat screw again. Now my radio isn't going anywhere, and neither is this arm.

Excellent Mounting Solution
I just installed the Arkon SR088S in my car, a 1997 Saturn and was so impressed I had to share my thoughts.
Pros:
* Sturdy, quality construction.
* A number of mounting options depending on vehicle and reciever.
* Relatively easy to install. Took be about 15 minutes and 1 screwdriver, 1 rachet, and one wrench.
* Satellite unit right within reach and out of sight of my front window.
*Less clutter on my dash.
Con:
* Unit may need to be bent out of the way when a passenger is seated, but remember that the unit is flexible and easily adjusted. This will depend on the type of vehicle.
I can't express how happy I am with this mount. I drive for a living, about eight hours a day and already juggle a cell phone, gps unit, pager, mp3 player, and Sirius unit. Things just got a little simpler.

Good product, but be careful
I bought an '06 Eclipse GT and didnt want to go near the dash so I bought this product. The bracket hit the track of the seat when trying to move it foward. After slightly bending the "L" of the bracket out a bit, it worked perfect! No drilling, no broken dash clips, and installs in 15 mins. As for hiding the wires, you can run them inbetween the internal steel gooseneck and the plastic covering. Be careful not to crimp or strip the wires (especially near Sirius bracket), it's a tight fit, but it works.
