Good Machine

(5 out of 5) by Iona Sun on Feb 11, 2010 (Detroit, Michigan USA)
No fax machine is flawless, but I really like this machine. We've had one at the office for... a couple years now (?) and it never has problems. I bought one for my home office about a month ago and I'm very happy with it.

The only annoyance I have is along the same lines as comments others have made... that it goes into sleep mode after you feed the pages through. However, when it sends it tells you that it is sending if you are watching the display. So I don't have a real issue with the display. And although the display is small it is also backlit (!) - which is great for me because the machine is in a dark corner of the office.

I read the reviews here on Amazon before buying and they helped to sway me towards this unit. I can say that I'm very happy with my choice so far.

Reasonably Priced Workhorse

(5 out of 5) by Consultant on Dec 8, 2009 (Tampa, FL)
A great machine for a home or small office based business. Works smoothly and quickly, with no paper or feeder jams. I bought it because my daughter in law has one in her law office, where it is in constant use and works all day with absolutely no problems. Purchasing from Amazon was painless. The machine actually arrived ahead of schedule.

I bought this fax to replace a seven year old Brother MFC1970 and what an improvement!

Great Product - Replace Ink with Laser

(5 out of 5) by John Suomi on Oct 20, 2007
We purchased this laser to replace a HP ink all-in-one, which died when the ink cartridge exploded. The price per page is cheaper than ink. The quality (resolution) of the printed page is better. This is the first Brother that we purchased and I would purchase another.
