Best for the Money

(4 out of 5) by iqprofessor on Mar 15, 2006 (NC, United States)
The Tablet is great. It's 12 x 9 for half the price of the other brands! I find that its easy to use and install. The mouse is pretty much useless though. If you're looking for a tablet this is the one, for beginners and pro. (the 4 stars is for the useless of the mouse and the button on the pen).

All inclusive

The tablet displays the entire screen allowing the user to quickly access any button without having to scroll; its fast, easty to connect and light weight.

Utter Disappointment

(2 out of 5) by Mitchell L. Marinello on Sep 2, 2006 (IL)
My Adesso Cybertablet was very disappointing.

I had to have the computer-guy come in to install the software.
And the only way he could was by downloading software that wasn't even given to us with the tablet.
But even after that, the software would have to be reinstalled every time the tablet was plugged in to a different computer.

Over a short period of time, the tablet started to lag and it would draw messy, grainy, and skipping lines. It was almost impossible to make one line with one single stroke of the pen.
To accomplish one grainy line, you would have to use the tablet very, very slowly.

In no time at all, the mouse was broken and the pen was doing wierd tricks with my photoshop. If you pressed the pen down against the tablet surface, a gigantic pattern would appear on the page. The pattern resembled a slinki.
I thought it was really wierd.

Eventually, the pen's cursor would get stuck up in the top-left of my screen, near the applications menu. So I couldn't do anything.

I am now in the process of e-mailing Adesso to ask some questions about what I can do.

Works great. . . until you run out of pen tips. . .

(2 out of 5) by MSD on Nov 16, 2007
This product is great until it runs out of what I call pen tips, for lack of a better name.

Pen tips are small plastic tips that one puts in the pen after it wears down you replace it with another.

I've used this table over and over again without a problem. Now I can't use my last pen tip. Looked all over the internet (even the Adesso website) to find said tips. I was even looking to buy another pen for it if necessary. I found nothing. I fear I am going to have to buy another table.

That's the reason for the two stars. Don't buy this unless you want to buy another after the tips run out.

Like I said, the product works well it's just what's the use in buying something that doesn't sell replace pen tips or pens?

If anyone out there knows of a place where I can find said pens or tips for this product please comment on this review and give me the link.

Don't be scared by reviews.

I bought this and was slightly scared by the scathing reviews I had read, but it's not as bad as people say. As others say, the mouse, pen buttons, and function buttons are pretty much useless, and it does seem a bit fragile, but it works well enough. It DOES work with Adobe Photoshop CS2, and installs smoothly. It is sensitive enough to meet my needs as an amatuer artist, and maybe would work for a professional artist or for CAD. I have tried the Wacom graphire 6x8, and I think this one is better than that, not only in size but money as well. If you are a pro and want the best, shell out $500 for an Intuos, but for the novice and casual artist, this one is the way to go.
