Great portable stereo, great price

(4 out of 5) by Bright-Mouse on Mar 4, 2008 (Colorado, USA)
We purchased this item for use in our kid's room, mostly for night time background music. It works great out of the box and plays back with the ability to repeat one CD track or the entire CD. We've been playing CDs about 11 hours per day for the past month and it continues to play well. It provides good low-volume sound in an average size bedroom. This has been a perfect, low-cost portable stereo for us.

Cheap and functional - then broken

(4 out of 5) by Calico8 on Jan 30, 2008 (Los Angeles)
Not the best, but certainly a great value for the price. Like all the previous reviews say, it's a little tinny and has a little hum when it's on. Every now and then it can't read a CD and you have to take the CD out and reinsert it. But I give it 4-stars because I would buy it again in a heartbeat for under $20.

Amended July 05, 2009: I'd change the review to 2 stars if I could. The CD player just went kaput! It was fine while it lasted, but now I wish I would've spent the extra $20 more and gotten a Sony.

DONOT BUY THIS CD PLAYER

(1 out of 5) by Customer on Jul 17, 2007
I got this CD player two months back and the play and repeat buttons are not working any more. I can't use it any more. Even though it is cheap it is not worth even that much. Try to find another decent CD player. I am not at all satisfied with this.

Doesn't play and didn't play

(1 out of 5) by E. Oppenheim on Feb 4, 2009 (Columbus, OH)
I purchased this in August with a bunch of other items from Amazon but didn't give it as a gift until just recently. It barely worked initially and now after 3 or 4 uses it has stopped working altogether.

You get what you pay for

(1 out of 5) by R. Kleinman on Oct 13, 2008
I didn't want to pay a lot for a CD player and got what I deserved - a CD player that didn't work well from the start until it finally started skipping so much I could no longer use it --- just 5 days after purchase!!

I learned my lesson and got a CD player for twice the price. So far so good.
