Great product, worth the price.

The Memorex DVD+R 16x discs are great. I have a LaCie external 16x burner that I use with my mac and I have not yet burned a bad disc. I would reccommend this product to anyone looking for lots of media for a good price.

Memorex DVD +R 100 Pack

(1 out of 5) by Stephen A. LaRosa on Sep 24, 2009
These Memorex blank DVD's are the worst I have ever used. Failure rate exceeds 75%. I always do a verify after burning and most of the Memorex discs fail. Have spent wasted hours trying to make copies. Never had a problem with TDK or Sony. I will never buy Memorex again. What junk! After using about 50 of the 100 pack and being extremely disappointed with the performance and quality, I threw the other 50 in the garbage, rather than waste more time trying to get good copies.

Reliable under most conditions

I burn plenty of DVDs, and I bought these again after Amazon ran out of Verbatim, and I ran into problems when burning at 4x inside VMWare Fusion in a Macbook, so it's kind of an odd configuration and that's why I gave it 4 stars. Reducing burn speed to 2.4x worked. Burning on a PC or on the Mac Side, I've had no problems with Memorex after 150+ discs. Still, Verbatim is the only brand that I can give 5 stars to, it has been 100% reliable in well over 300 discs I've burned in the past months. Taiyo Yuden appears to be even better, but I can't find a reliable source (such as Amazon directly), and given how easy it is to sell counterfeit discs, I don't want to pay the premium only to end up with brand X.

shipping problem

The product was not packaged correctly and by the time I received it the spindle had broken and about 1/3 of the discs were scratched up as a result.

The case was broken and the dvd's were dirty. I was disappointed with the status of the item.
