I have been using this amp for about 6 months and it still powers up and works without any trouble. If you are looking for a bang for your buck amp, get the california series. I was skeptical on how long it would last but still no problems. I can't tell you exactly how many watts is being pushed but it was a noticable difference from 250w rms. My 12" alpine type-s hit a lot harder and cleaner when it got its approriate 500w rms. I have not had this amp clip on me or cut out yet, it works good. I do notice the system pop when you turn on the head unit, it is not that loud/annoying though. For some reason the subsonic filter doesnt take this noise out like it should, but it was not really a big deal to me since it isn't that loud. If you are on a budget and are looking at cheaper amps try one of these.

I have this amp hooked up to an infinity reference series 12" sub and it sounds awesome. I love the bass control that comes with it, I have it wired up too my dash and can control the amount of bass for different types of music.
