This antenna is a very cost effective replacement for the packaged antenna that comes with Garmin GPS devices such as GPS V. Made of good materials and built to last.

Saved me from getting a new GPS
For whatever reason, the original antenna for my Garmin GPS gave up the ghost and couldn't find a satellite signal come heck or high water. I hooked this up and for the first time, I saw 100% full signal strength from EVERY satelitte that was within range. SO, yes, I was very happy.
Absolutely Satisfied
If you are using the earlier Street Pilot. This is an absolute necessity for rapid and better sattelite acquisition. I wouldn't leave home without it.

I should have bought this years ago.
This is the perfect addition to the Garmin GPS (I have a Street Pilot III). Lock-in to satellites is just a few seconds (it could take as long as a minute with the stock antenna and there are some places near me where I would have to hit the "continue to acquire" button).
I cannot compare it to the Garmin GA26 antenna, but I can't imagine how it could be better, and this is a fration of the price.
I can't think of anything negative to say. You do need to snake the antenna up to the roof of your car, so that makes it a little less portable. The way I have it, it will take a second to undo, so I it is not a negative for me.
I have not tried the antenna inside the car.
