Great Cable

(5 out of 5) by Sheldon J. Howe on Dec 30, 2006
I searched a lot on the net before deciding on this cable. The price was great and the specs looked good, so I decided to get it. The cable looks to be very well made and has worked fine for all of the video I have transfered to my computer.

Camcorder to Laptop

(5 out of 5) by Scott J. Crash on Apr 5, 2009 (So Cal)
I purchased this because my HP laptop had the small Firewire connection and so does my Sony Camcorder. Works great for coonecting the both together.

Works Great

I bought this in hopes that it would enable my Canon Vixia HV-30 connect to my HP DV6446US laptop. After buying an el-cheapo firewire cable from meritline, the laptop would not recognize the camcorder. I didn't know if it was due to the laptop hardware or the cable, so I took a chance an bought this higher quality cable. Well, that did the trick. I always thought USB/firewire cables passed a digital signal so it didn't matter about their construction. I guess I was wrong. This cable works just fine and is really beefy. Good buy.

High quality firewire cable

The cable's construction is very solid. I transferred about 4 hours of recorded video from a night of shooting and had no issues.

Good quality cable reasonably priced.

Tt's a freaking cable. It looks nice, well packaged, and the gauge of the cable is thick and rubbery. I don't know if it will do a "better" job at what it's supposed to do, but I do not doubt that this will be more durable than most generic cables out there.
