Thanks to the manufacturer of this replacement battery I did not have to discard my old reliable Makita portable electric drill when the battery expired. I don't know why the good reliable tool manufacturers are always "updating" thier line to make us buy new stuff when the old stuff works as well or better. The replacement battery has held up well, has the necessary power and holds the charge as long as the original one did.

I purchased two of these batteries and they charged fine and have worked perfectly in my old drill since the day they arrived. In fact, I believe that they hold a charge longer than the OEM units. That's a huge relief since they are the only replacement batteries currently available for it; Makita stopped making them some time ago. If I had any complaint, it would be that they come in blister packs made of a nearly indestructible plastic that take about twenty minutes to open even with a utility knife, scissors and a half-pound of C-4.

I was so glad to find this replacement battery so I didn't have to discard my older Makita portable electric drill when the old original battery finally died. This replacement battery holds the charge as long as the original one did and I recommend it to anyone who wants to continue using their older Makita drills.

This is the second battery of this type that I have purchased. These are excellent batteries and work as well as the original Makita batteries.
