They work Great

The Belkin Firewire hub works great. I have two of them daisy chained together, running multiple hard drives and have had no problems with them. I will recommend that you run them with the AC power supply for best performance.

Glad I ignored the naysayers

I've had nothing but satisfaction with this Firewire hub. No problems with noise, nor with reliability, as some reviewers have mentioned. The only downside is that Apple's move away from Firewire products has limited the hub's usefulness. But I have any good things to say about this product.

6-Port Firewire Hub

I use firewire for my seagate hard drives, this product has worked great so far. There is always more USB ports with the mac computer, so this 6-port hub is a great solution.
Fast, Easy to install and worked for my hard drives right away. This is a great product!

it came broken

I didn't realize the hub was not working until i went down to a second Mac store and they checked it out and discovered that when they plugged in my Duet Apogee pre amp to one of their Belkin 6 pin firewire hubs it powered the Duet with no problem. The problem I was having was the inability to power my Duet pre-amp from the hub. The Duet only worked when I plugged it into my powerbook G4 directly. I never thought to think that my Belkin hub was dysfunctional until 3 months later having taken many trips to various Apple stores. So now what do I do. Amazon sent me a Belkin hub that doesn't work.

An excellent solution when you have too many periperals

I wanted to add a firewire disk drive but the single firewire port on my MacBook was already in use. This solved the problem. Every bit as easy as adding a USB hub.
