Nice unit, wrong photo

(4 out of 5) by E. P. Eckart on Jul 8, 2007 (SLC, UT, USA)
As another reviewer has mentioned, I can't tell any difference in sound or tv picture with this unit, but I feel better knowing it's there. I give the unit 5 stars, but only 4 stars total because Amazon messed up on the image; the photo of the back of the device is the correct one, but the photo of the front of the unit is NOT correct; that is the pic of the model PF40, a unit with more features and a higher price tag.

Good enough for me

(5 out of 5) by K. Lam on Sep 10, 2005 (San Jose, CA)
I just spent $15k on a full home theater system (Pasaonsic plasma 50-inch, high end Harman Kardon receiver, $2000 Definitive Tech 5.1 speakers, HP Digital Entertainment Center Media Center PC, 300 GB external hard drive to hold my media). So I thought it would be wise to buy some sort of power surge protection and power conditioner rather than just plugging all that stuff in a $15 Walmart power strip. But I hate getting ripped off, and I think most of this power surge consoles from Monster Power and Belkin PureAV is mostly hype and way, way overpriced. But to let me sleep a bit easier, I decided to buy this low-end Belkin PureAV Power Console PF30 model ($250 MSRP but $115 by DynaDirect via Amazon). But even though it's low-end, it has all the power jacks I need, and they are all surge-protected. So, not needing to spend $500 on a similar Monster Cable product, I'm happy. Recommended.

Good product and solid

(4 out of 5) by humbleservant888 on Jan 25, 2007 (Santa Clara, CA USA)
Well, I got this product two days ago from ANTOnline.
I immediately plug all my stuffs into this power console. The first thing I turn on my Plasma TV and found out the quality improved a little bit. Second thing I turn on is my audio system such as my vacuum tube amp and my Cary CD-308 CD player. I found out the sound quality improved but not much as all the people mentioned above. Although this console didn't help me much but I really like it because the console is solid and compare the price to the Monster's product, it is worth to buy it to protect my av systems. Thanks Belkin.

Didn't have a chance to see difference in A/V since I hooked all my new stuff up at same time. I do now that it does good job protecting. Haven't had any probs with storms ruining my equip(like in past!!!) I think this one is worth every penny and you could spend a lot more pennies for bigger, but not better.
