Outstanding sound. Orchestral music is reproduced so well that you think you're sitting in the best seat in the concert hall. Every section and every soloist is realistically reproduced with crystal clear sound. These speakers need at least a 100 watt amplifier. SACD's sound magnificent! At this price these speakers can't be beaten.

If you set out to search for the best possible speaker for the least amount of money, you will most likely be seeing a lot of this model. The ability to bi-amp is a nice feature, especially at this price point.
I purchased these as my first set of floor-standing speakers, and they sound so rich that the lossy part of my music collection is highly discernible from the rest. Luckily for me, it is because my high end audio sources sound exponentially better.
When your playing Dolby TrueHD & DTS-HD Master Audio sources, the fidelity difference over the digital standard reminds me of the first time I listened to a CD. Live music performances are especially enjoyable.
You will need an equally capable sub woofer, but that is a given and doesn't detract from these speakers.
I would recommend these to everyone, but if your concerned at all by sound quality, these really need a decent receiver with the latest formats and a good sub. Worth every penny.

This is a superceeded model but there's a lot of bang for the buck here. Sounds good. Good sound field. The styling and narrow column work well in a small room with enough volume for a very large room. Polk still lists the speaker and recommends complimentary speakers for a theater surround. All of these speakers are still current and I put together an impressive surround system very economically. Fit and finish are excellent. If you want small speakers almost invisible speaker these are not them, however.

This is a great speaker, and the price is great also. I would recommend buying a really great receiver to push them, or you will not hear their full potential. I listened to these, and some Klipsh before making my decision, and I went with these. The speakers are built very good, and will compliment any home theater you may have. I highly recommend them.

These are great entry to mid-level high end speakers at a low end price.

Speakers arrived the day after I was notified they were shipped and they arrived in perfect condition. The price was right, free shipping and they sound great. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a great pair of speakers in the price range of 500.00. My purchase was directly from Amazon and not one of the other alternate sellers.
