Great Low Profile 1394 FireWire PCI Card

Included in the package: 3/4" low profile bracket card, 3-ft 1394 cable and VideoStudio 8 DVD software. This card will only work in a low profile desktop, so if you have a standard or full size case, please look into other card.

Great easy to install firewire for the Dell C521 slim desktop
(5 out of 5) by W. Siggins on May 7, 2007Fit perfectly in my slim Dell C521 Desktop. Works great and was immediately recognized by the system. If you have the C521 I would really recommend this for firewire drives and video / regular cameras. Works flawlessly! Would have preferred to get it cheaper as some have but I needed quickly and it has performed perfectly!

Low Profit FireWire card is perfect for slim computers

When I connected the camcorder to it, it recognized it and gave me options to edit the tape in the camcorder. I did not encounter any problems. Very good product.

Not for the short tempered...

However, I need to re-state (as someone already had the same issue as me) If you have the same computer as I do, you literally have to JAM it into place! Try not to break it! The easiest way to know when you have inserted it correctly is when the "gold strips" are completely gone. When you hook up your camera, and turn it on - it should be detected, however if its not, dont panic and just try it again. :)

Chandrasekara on Aug 14, 2009 (NY,USA)this product is AWESOME!!!! was looking around for this a couple of months for my Dell 530s and couldnt find anything.... came across this by accident. super fast delivery and had everything i needed to start my video project. just plugged it in.. swithced on the pc and WALLAH!!!! vista had no problem installing the drivers on its own.
pluged my dv cam to test it out.. and i felt like i've been working on it for years!!!
only problem now is.... i have an issue with my external alpha sound card.. but i really didnt put any time n effort to look in to it but im sure it'll be alright..
if u are looking for a "CHEAP" firewire port for your slim pc... THIS IS IT!!! now go and click on that "BUY" button..
