Excellent sound quality - very sturdy speakers
I bought these from Fry's Electronics for $199. Awesome deal! (I think Polk may have a deal going on with Fry's because the guy from the first review on here got his for the same amount.) I compared these speakers(PA RM6750's) side by side with the $500 Harmon/Kardon's. These had a much richer sound and much better price. The guy in the Fry's audio department said that he used Polk in all of the car stereo's he installs. You can't go wrong with Polk.

These are a steal!
I have a dedicated home theater/videogame room with a High Def Video Projector. My last old piece of hardware was my Yamaha HTR-5730 Reciever and speakers. Heard these Polks at a friend's house in a open area bad for sound and they amazed me. Did some research and pulled the trigger on these at slightly over two hundred dollars. THEY ARE A STEAL!
My fiancee who was sceptical as to why we needed new speakers was blown away and still comments from time to time how good they sound. If you hook them up as Polk recommends (not using the dedicated sub cable) you will be amazed. Excellent highs and mid and thunderous bass that seems to emit from the satellites but not the sub (unless it is one of those discreet "rumble" frequencies). She never wants to go to the Theater now!
The surround during videogames makes me jump alot more now since these speakers have such good detail. Try playing Silent Hill Homecoming or Fallout 3 with these babies and get back to me!
Highly recommended.

Paired with SHARP LC46D62U & SONY STR DG920 Receiver
Paired with a SHARP LC46D62U & SONY STR DG920 Receiver these speakers are very impressive - I kept reading reviews about them and after considering the cost of "last years model" which seems to be pretty much discontinued I bought them. I set them up initially with an older Sony Theater in a Box K4800P while I awaited for my new Sony STR-DG920 receiver. Incredible how it made the old Sony receiver sound - the impedance is fairly high at 89 which allows them to voice very early on the volume knob. Then when the STR DG920 arrived - whoa, let me say whoa - in a room 20 X 20 these speakers rock the house! At $240.00 delivered from Amazon last week there's nothing on the market this cost effective - sure there's tons of high end stuff out there but for me, I look for bang for the buck. At this cost, I'd put this system up against anything - pound for pound, you'd be hard pressed to find a better bargain.

Impressive performance with movies but not music
I used these with a HK AVR 146. I bought them to replace some old Sony HTIB speakers I got from Wal-Mart a few years ago. I hooked them up and watched a movie. I was impressed at how I could hear more detail and gunshots actually had a kick behind them from the actual satellite speaker and not a rumble from the sub. However this was a downside for listening to music. The speakers have too much bass and rattle when used for music. It makes them sound really distorted and cheap. I tried turning the bass down to them but it did not help much. So I ended up returning them. Perhaps other people who use them for music can give tips on this?

Speaker + Stands
I have a rather large great room and these speakers work/sound great. I'll let other's who know better talk about sound quality.
But for me, once I figured out I wanted these speakers, a big dilemma was what stands do I get. Will the two work together?
I ended up choosing the Atlantic 77305018 Satellite Speaker Stands (Black). The stands work great with these speakers.
There's a slot on the back of the speaker, right in the middle, where you can screw in a bolt. These stands come with a bolt and washer that fit perfectly. The stands are very stable on carpet ... providing my kids don't knock them over :)
