Excellent value for the price

Good for movies and TV
(4 out of 5) by rusty child on Aug 3, 2008This compact surround system works great with my home theater set-up in a pretty small room, but you might be disappointed if you want to use it to listen to much in the way of music. There's just not enough "there" there, which leads this non-audiophile to say that there's probably not enough midrange.
Sorry, don't have any alternative suggestions as I am currently considering upgrade options myself. Leaning toward beefing up the fronts first. If there's still not enough window shattering going on, I'll move on to the sub, then the center and finally the surrounds. Again, movies and TV sound great with this system, so long as you're not watching a rock concert film.

Good sound

The size of the speakers were a little bigger than I thought, but I need to be fair: for the price I couldn't get anything smaller or more powerful.

(4 out of 5) by Incentive Award on Feb 25, 2008 (southeast,Ct.)Hey, great set of speakers.$241 at CC.I looked around quite a bit.They sounded better than the Bose that I looked at in the same price range.Hooked them up to an Onkyo 505,very nice.Get some good wire and you got a nice system.

(4 out of 5) by Dong Nguyen on Jun 27, 2007GOOD QUALITY SPEAKER FOR THE BUDGET PRICE, SUB IS POWERFULL FOR IT SIZE. I'VE USED QUALITY SPEAKER WIRES, AND A 7.1 YAMAHA RECEIVER.
