Cables worked as expected

(5 out of 5) by Syd Lerner on Jan 23, 2007
These cables were exactly what I expected. Plugged 'em in to the optical ports - they snap in - and boom - out came dolby 5.1 through the speakers.

so cheap because it's useless - doesn't fit samsung tv or yamaha receiver

I bought this cable to connect a Samsung 5 series TV with a Yamaha receiver. This cable doesn't fit in any of the digital optical ports on either component - I almost damaged my hardware trying to get the connector to click. I tried holding the cable in place on both ports, but still there was no sound. Even if this cable had worked, I would have been tempted to replace it anyways because it is so thin and cheaply made.

Works as designed; great deal for the price!

Don't shy away because it's inexpensive for it's length. I've had no problems whatsoever.

Works great

(5 out of 5) by Paul on Jul 14, 2007 (SF Bay Area, CA)
What else can I say? It's a long digital optical audio cable and it does exactly what it's supposed to do. Amazon's price is ok if you include the shipping with Amazon Prime. Otherwise there are cheaper sellers but watch out for their shipping charges!

Garbage cable but it will work

(3 out of 5) by AV Guy on Jun 24, 2009
The only time I have used this cable is on installations where our customer really should not have a surround sound system. The cable seems to work, but looks like blowing on it too hard may result in cable failure. Of course, if it's what you can afford....
