Best Value Auto Starter

(4 out of 5) by James E. Padgett on May 13, 2007 (Richmond, VA)
This starter system has the longest range of any I have seen. The two way communication between the remote and the data unit are unique in these devices. You get actual confirmation of any action submitted with the remote. There is no guessing if you car started or not, you know by looking at the remote status screen. You can even read the tempurature of your car interior.

Pro: two way communication, several auto start modes-by specific time,by interior temp,by time interval.Remote uses AAA battery.

Cons: the remote is expensive to replace.

this thing sucks!

(1 out of 5) by Carlos Arango on Dec 30, 2006
it took me about 16 hours of extensive work, which i didn't mind at all, to install it, but then when i was finally done, it didn't work at all, the owner's manunall is not detailed at all and costumer service is the worst that i have dealt with, they were not helpfull at all! so, i am returning it and investing in a better system.

Works as Advertised

(5 out of 5) by E. pacheco on Jan 30, 2008 (Boston, MA USA)
Product works as adversited, I've had it for two years now, never had a problem. Instalation if a different beast: Due to the extensive amount of features, there are a lot of wires to be hooked up, all of which are outside plain view, so you will have to do some disaseembling of the interior of your car (a few plastic parts) and be able to identify which wires are the ones you need (ignition, crank, dome light, brake light, e-brake, ...). So if you're fine with that, you will enjoy the benefits of this product (just make sure you set plenty of time to install it). Some electronics knowledge makes things easier but is not required (as long as you follow the directions exactly).

Great product for the price - Worthless tech support

(5 out of 5) by Mr Roberts on Dec 1, 2007 (Iowa City, IA USA)
I have had the unit for over 2 years now and it works great! I use it every day in the winter and often in the summer. It was tricky to install but I have a manual transmission so there were additional steps that I had to do to get it to work. It honestly took me 2 weeks before I got it all hooked up and figured out. The tech support is terrible and never were able to help me with any installation questions so you better be good with electronics and good at troubleshooting problems if you want to attempt to install this yourself. I saved $400 in installation costs by doing it myself and I learned about my cars electrical system while doing it so it was defenitly worth it. It has tons of features and has a long range which is the reason I got it.
