A Great Radar and Laser Detector
This is a great radar and laser detector. What I like most about the RMR-DLS310 is that it seldom gives false alarms when it's in City Mode and the fact that it keeps my personal settings if I unplug the power cord. I was driving through a small town three years ago, and I received a $60 ticket for going 45 mph in a 30 mph zone. I bought this detector the next day, and I have not received another ticket. This detector monitors all radar bands. It also monitors and scrambles laser, but laser is seldom used by the police because it travels in a straight line. It's always nice to know when a policeman is scanning traffic with a radar gun. I had to pay over $120 for this detector. There is also an RMR-DLS360 available, but I think it costs over $200. The RMR-C450 is Rocky Mountain Radar's best detector. It is also the most expensive at this time. Don't buy a radar detector with the expectation that you can drive twenty miles per hour over the speed limit and not receive a ticket. Police are relentless, and local governments need to collect as much money as possible. Fortunately, drivers with radar detectors have a tendency to drive at the speed limit. Driving safely does prevent accidents, and it prevents local governments from collecting as much money. Drive faster if you want to give your money to the government.
