Want to play MP3s? This is perfect if you use a SD card.

(4 out of 5) by I. Weiss on Nov 16, 2009 (Los Angeles)
My MP3 songs need a way to my grandchild's room (I don't use Apple's downloads and I don't own an ipod player). I did use this unit's MP3 disk playback feature but burning a disk is cumbersome. So I simply dragged files to an SD card and inserted the card into the player: PERFECT AND EASY MUSIC EVERY TIME. Why bother burning a cd when using the SD card is so simple? (Sound?: it's fine for a small boombox.)

Coby-MPC450 MP3 Boombox

It was the most disappointing product I ever bought from Amazon and really a piece of "JUNK" I am so glad I didn't throw my old MP3 Boombox away! The CD stopped working after 4 months and now after 8 months the fine tuner jumps all over the place! Just a miserable thing! Paid almost 50 dollars for it!
I would like to rate this with a "NO" star instead of a one star but they didn't have a "No" star! Thanks for letting me vent my anger and disappointment I love Amazon and hope they get rid of this company!

I bought 1 to use at work, it worked fine, so I bought 1 for use at home. It lasted about a month, then started having problems with it playing cd's & mp3/cds it would not read them. I had to wiggle or remove the powercord.
That work for awhile, then even that would not get it to work. The one I had at work lasted about a
year. Then it would work only with batteries. So I am going to try a different brand this time. I have heard
from too many places that the Coby brand won't read the cd's & mp3/cds. And I need a player that will play
cds, mp3cds, cass, & radio. I play music, or audio books all the time.
