Great product
I used these as spikes (on carpet) for my sub wolfer for my surround system and the sound from it improved tremendously. Easy to install also.
Makes a difference
Application: hard wood floor
Speakers: KEF 104.2
The KEF's are 70lbs each and all that weight focused on 4 sharp points anchors them solid
releasing the excellent inherent Bass and Midrange, probably the best value improvement I have made.
The cones are Brass with adjustable tips to level the speakers and for $50 for 8 a great price.
I can now feel the bass come through the speakers and not released to the floor and the surrounding
fixtures and a sharper midrange. I had made my own sharpened spikes but Dayton's sound much better in Midrange and higher.
Spikes work by preventing the speaker from ocillating with the movement of the speaker cones.
Two other good payback improvements have been the V-DAC and the APC LE1200 1200VA Voltage Regulator.

A must for tight bass
Want your sub to hit the lows, and hit tight? All subs on carpet need these to penetrat to the wood floor. Otherwise the carpet absorbs much of the bass....and thats no good.
