jWin review

(3 out of 5) by ArtMan on Dec 11, 2006 (Right here in Hollywood)
Overall it's ok. I bought it because of the low price, the turntable and the fact it has a remote.

The options are ok, but the DISC SKIP button fell in after the SECOND time I used it. The tape deck buttons look like they're going to fall off any minute now, so be gentle.

I am not sure what else to say

Pile of Worthless Junk

(1 out of 5) by Bruce S. Bertram on Aug 2, 2007 (Grand Junction, CO)
Bought this last year (2006) at a local electronics store. I thought that for the price I'd at least get a decent CD player. Wrong. It wouldn't play about half of my home-burned CD's. I tried using the tape player and after about two or three tapes it started eating them. Didn't try the turntable, but I wasn't about to trust my vinyl to it. After about a year of relatively light playing of CD's suddenly it decided to quit, without opening so I could get my CD's out (it didn't play and it didn't open). Ruined an Iron Butterfly CD trying to get the CD drawer open, but I finally got it open. With a crowbar and a hammer. Felt good, but needless to say the player was not able to continue operation.

Took it to the store, they didn't do anything, so I told them I'd never go back there again and just threw it in their dumpster. Kept the speakers though; they might actually work for a while longer.

I wouldn't trust this player or this brand as far as I could throw them. Which was a fair distance.

Into the dumpster.
