These disks are fine, but Verbatim now makes a 16x DVD+R, and they can be bought from many retailers for much, much less. Shop around!

Verbatim rules. I haven't had one disc fail me yet. You can tell they use a higher quality plastic in their discs. The discs look immaculate so that means their quality control standards are very high. The discs are actually made by Mitsubishi, the media code is MCC 004. Verbatim are so confident in their discs they even give you a lifetime warranty.

These are really good DVDs - I have been using them for more than a year and have not had any issues. the discs I wrote a year ago still work without any problems. I also get the full 8X speed in my external DVD writer while other brands just give me 4X max speed. Would buy again.

I've gone through nearly half a deck of 50 in a couple of days so far, and they are flawless. No coasters! No pixelation or jumping footage! Spend a bit more, but go for the Verbatim DVD+R.
