Speaker Buzzes!

(1 out of 5) by Chorch on Nov 16, 2007 (Portland, OR)
Speaker began to hiss and buzz 5 minutes after I began to listen. Buyer beware.

Don't bother....

(1 out of 5) by Brian Collamer on Feb 10, 2008 (Vergennes, Vermont USA)
Bought 2 units, months apart. Both were defective.
Amazon was great about replacing them though.
Both replacements function fine.

Not bad for the money

(3 out of 5) by Twizzler on Sep 22, 2009 (San Francisco)
I've had this for about three weeks and it is still working after daily use. I only use it for a night-time sleepy time CD, which is good because the radio kinda sucks - hard to fine tune. Great for night use, though, because it doesn't have a big shiny-bright light to keep you awake, plus when the CD shuts off there is no big click sound. In fact, I've never even heard the thing turn off (this implies that I am still awake sometimes, which I am).

All in all, I'm quite pleased. Maybe in a month or two it will stop working, and if it does? I'll let you know.

Emerson PD5098 Portable CD Player with AM/FM Radio

(5 out of 5) by Carl on Feb 6, 2009
Everything arrived fine, however the radio had to be returned before use. This was ordered for a person that was incarcerfated in a Mental Facility. Upon the articles arrival at the facility the guards decided that it had come from an place that had not been "approved" and would not allow the patient to receive the package. Satisfied with the service from Beach Audio.

Had to Return It

(2 out of 5) by D. Milber on Oct 23, 2009 (USA)
It would have been perfect except that the sound kept shorting out. I thought the cord was loose, but that wasn't the case and so it was unusable and I returned it.
